Youth Development through Golf
throughout Silicon Valley

Welcome! The First Tee of San Jose is a life skills program that builds the character of youth to help them succeed in life. We make the game of golf accessible to all youth, regardless of background. Participants learn to appreciate diversity, resolve conflicts, build confidence and set goals for their future. We focus on four life skills categories – interpersonal, self-management, goal-setting, and resilience – and Nine Core Values – honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment. Join us as a participant, volunteer or supporter!

Latest & Greatest

Visit us at the Bay Area Golf Show on Friday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 4th at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The first 250 youth to visit our booth will receive a club!

By the Numbers
In 2011, we delivered our life skills curriculum to over 600 on-course participants and reached over 4,000 youth in our outreach programs. The addition of this 4,600 youth brings the grand total for 2005-2011 to over 14,300! Furthermore, 163 of our 600 on-course participants in 2011 submitted report cards with all A's or B's. Please join us as a volunteer or donor and help us reach 2,000 on-course participants and over 13,000 youth annually by 2015.
